Who I Am

Hi my name is Marc and I love the process of creating music. 

As a songwriter, platinum-selling producer, but also an indie artist and Apple certified Logic Instructor, I love helping students take their projects to the next level. I enjoy coaching them how to go from demos and basic ideas to releasable and professional-sounding tracks. This is the purpose of Musical Architects.

My journey lead from recording my first crappy four-track demos in a basement in Switzerland to producing major artists in Los Angeles. From writing some basic guitar riffs in my first bands to creating music that garnered over 4000 placements in film and TV.  Teaching classical guitar students during Conservatory to instructing over 2000 students for 10 years at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.

I always wanted to create a class that incorporates all those experiences and gives musicians a holistic course in writing and producing a complete song from start to finish. A hands-on building plan that demonstrates every step of the way, not just technically but also creatively, what we need to know to be self-sufficient artists these days.

I don’t know what you will write and produce but I am convinced that following this course will make you evolve and grow on all levels of music creation.

WHAT QUALIFIES ME

I produced and re-mixed for more than 50 major artists such as Nelly Furtado, Luis Fonsi, Paul van Dyk, Peter Gabriel, En Vogue, Alice Cooper, Cindi Lauper, Luther Vandross, Erasure, and many more, leading to several top 5 Billboard Hits including 2 #1 Hits.

I self-released 8 albums on my label Very Music, Inc. as well as close to 700 tracks for movies, TV shows, and music libraries leading to over 4000 placements. Credits include Films like “Little Miss Sunshine”, “Blood Diamond”, “Friendship” and TV Shows like “Sex & The City”, “Scrubs”, “Cable Girls” and many more.

I have a degree from the University of Zurich in classical guitar and pedagogy, additional studies at Berklee College of Music, Boston, and am Apple-certified Teacher’s Trainer in Logic Pro X.
